Cupping
Benefits of Cupping
Pain reduction by releasing tissues, relaxing muscles, relieving stiffness
Relaxation by sedating the central nervous system
Improving skin health by increasing blood flow
Helps respiratory issues and colds by circulating blood/Qi to the lungs and clearing congestion
Improving digestion by lowering the stress response
I do traditional fire-cupping using fire to create negative pressure. Cups are often added during acupuncture treatments and remain on the body for 10-20 minutes.
Types of Cupping
Stationary Cupping - Cups are placed on the body and stay there for 10-15 minutes.
Moving Cupping - Massage oil is applied to the skin under the cups so that the cups can move and slide along the meridian or along muscles.
Flash Cupping - Cups are rapidly placed and removed over the same area.
